Coloured and laminated PVC is produced by bonding a special decor foil with heat and adhesive to the outer, inner or both faces of a standard white profile. The foil gives a wood grain, matt or finely textured colour finish. This combines the warmth of timber joinery or the dark tones of modern architecture with the maintenance-free nature of PVC.
Popular Colours
- Anthracite grey: the most popular tone for modern villas and detached houses.
- Golden oak: blends warmly with traditional stone and timber buildings.
- Walnut and mahogany: for homes and boutique hotels wanting a classic look.
- Cream and grey tones: a soft contrast against white facades.
Where Is It Used?
Golden oak is often chosen for stone-faced, timber-detailed houses in Dalyan and Köyceğiz, while anthracite grey is popular on modern villas in Ortaca, Sarıgerme and Göcek. With single-sided lamination the outside is coloured and the inside stays white, a good balance for those who want a bright interior.
Advantages
- Permanent colour without paint or varnish.
- A wood look without moisture or rot problems.
- Single or double-sided lamination.
- A wide colour range to suit the facade design.
- Long-lasting appearance with UV-resistant foil.
Points to Consider in a Hot Climate
Dark profiles heat up and expand more than white ones in the sun. That is why stronger steel reinforcement, correct installation gaps and quality gaskets are important, especially on south and west facades. During Ortaca’s long, hot summers these details keep the sashes running smoothly without rubbing.
Sizes and Installation
Laminated profiles offer the same sizes and opening types as white ones: tilt and turn, sliding, lift-and-slide and doors. Because of the lamination process, production may take a little longer than for white profiles. The protective film is removed at the final stage of installation to avoid scratching the surface.
Maintenance
Laminated surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth and soapy water; abrasive sponges and solvent-based cleaners can damage the foil. Colour-matched touch-up pens can be used for small scratches. We bring the colour chart to the survey and help you choose against a sample on your facade.
