The biggest issue on the canal side: mosquitoes
Dalyan sits right next to the reed beds and the channel that links Lake Köyceğiz to the sea. This natural beauty also means plenty of mosquitoes on summer evenings. As a result, the most common request we get in Dalyan is a full insect screen project covering every door and window. Pleated screens are preferred for wide doors opening onto gardens and terraces, while hinged or fixed-frame screens are chosen for bedroom windows. We recommend fine-mesh fabrics that do not block too much breeze or view.

Most buildings in the area are one- or two-storey stone-look villas, holiday homes owned by foreign residents and boutique guesthouses. Advice for homes that stay empty in winter
Many homes are closed during winter. The humid lake air can cause mould and condensation in a closed house. Window handles with micro-ventilation, good gaskets and double glazed units help in these homes. If the owner lives abroad, we send photos and a measurement report after the survey by WhatsApp or e-mail, and after approval we can install in the presence of a caretaker or property manager.
