A motorised aluminium roller shutter is driven by a tubular motor inside the winding tube in the shutter box and opens or closes at the touch of a button. With no straps or cranks, all the shutters in a home can be controlled at once from a single remote or a timer if desired.

Technical Design
The slats are aluminium with a polyurethane foam core that contributes to thermal and sound insulation. The tubular motor is chosen with a torque rating to suit the shutter weight. Motors have built-in thermal protection to prevent overheating during prolonged use. Some models offer manual emergency operation for power cuts.
Sizes and Installation
Motorised shutters are usually made up to about 400 cm wide and 300 cm high. Installation involves fixing the box above the window, mounting the guides plumb and connecting the motor to the power supply. In existing buildings the cabling can be run neatly in surface trunking. After installation the motor’s upper and lower limits are set.
Maintenance
Cleaning the guides once a year and lubricating them with silicone spray is enough. The slats are wiped with soapy water. The motor needs no maintenance, but if the shutter slows down, sticks or makes noise, our service team checks it on site. We can also convert your existing strap-operated shutters to motorised operation.
