Homes designed around the view
With its marinas and bays, Göcek is one of the centres of yacht tourism. On the slopes facing the gulf there are villas, boutique hotels and residences designed to bring as much of the sea view inside as possible. In these homes architects usually want large glass surfaces, slim-looking profiles and level transitions linking the living room and terrace. This calls for project-based frame solutions rather than standard windows.
Aluminium and lift-and-slide (HS) systems
For wide openings aluminium frames are preferred because they can carry larger panes with the same section. Thermally broken aluminium profiles limit indoor heat gain on sun-facing elevations in summer. Between the living room and terrace, lift-and-slide (HS) doors let large, heavy sashes glide with a light turn of the handle; when closed, the sash settles onto its gasket to keep wind and rain out. Production in anthracite, bronze or custom RAL colours is possible per project.
Glass balconies and terrace enclosures
In Göcek, terraces are enclosed with folding or sliding glass systems so they can be used outside the season too. Slim-profile systems with tempered glass stack fully to one side when open, so in summer the terrace is still an open-air space. On slopes exposed to sea winds, glass thickness and track system are chosen according to wind load.
Discreet insect screens
In luxury villas, insect screens must not spoil the facade. That is why we use sliding screens running on their own track for HS doors, or pleated models recessed into the frame. The profile colour matches the frames, and the mesh is fine enough to block as little of the view as possible.
Common jobs in Göcek
- Thermally broken aluminium window and door systems
- Lift-and-slide (HS) doors between living room and terrace
- Folding glass balconies for terraces and balconies
- Solar control and tempered double glazing
- Pleated and sliding screens in the same colour as the frames
Travel and project process
Göcek is about 35 minutes from Ortaca. For villas under construction we work with the architect or site manager, taking rough measurements early and moving to production with final measurements after plastering.
