An aluminium security shutter is a security door made of thicker, more robust slats than a roller shutter, used to close business facades, shop windows and wide door openings. When raised, the slats wind into the box above the opening; when lowered, they close the opening completely and lock.

Technical Information
Security shutters are mostly motorised; wide, heavy shutters use high-torque tubular or side-mounted motors. An emergency crank allows manual opening during power cuts. The bottom profile has a floor-locking bolt or lock. Remote control and obstacle detection can be added to motorised systems.
Sizes and Installation
Aluminium security shutters can usually be made up to about 500 cm wide and 400 cm high. Before installation, the space above the opening for the box, the surface for the side guides and the power supply are checked. The box can be mounted inside or outside the facade. Installation is usually completed within a day.
Maintenance
