Corner and quadrant shower enclosures are fitted where two walls meet and close off the shower area with two glass faces. A corner enclosure is square or rectangular; a quadrant enclosure softens the corner with curved front glass and leaves more room to move in the bathroom.
Where Is It Used?
They are ideal for bathrooms where the shower tray is in a corner or the shower area does not fit between two walls. In small bathrooms in particular, the quadrant model reduces door swing and the protruding corner, creating a sense of space. They are popular in apartments in Ortaca and Dalyan and in the compact bathrooms of guesthouse rooms.
Corner or Quadrant?
- Corner (square/rectangular): a larger shower area inside and easier cleaning thanks to flat glass; for medium and large bathrooms.
- Quadrant: curved front glass saves space; for small bathrooms. Usually made with two sliding doors opening from the centre.
Advantages
- Saves bathroom space by using the corner.
- Sliding doors need no swing area.
- Safety with tempered glass.
- Can be fitted on a shower tray or on the floor.
- Anti-limescale coated glass option.
Sizes and Installation
Corner enclosures are usually made in sizes such as 80x80, 90x90 and 100x80 cm or fully to measure. In quadrant models the radius of the curved glass is matched to the shape of the shower tray, so the existing tray is carefully measured during the survey. If the walls are not square to each other, the adjustment in the profiles is used. During installation, joints are sealed with sanitary silicone and bottom seals are set so water does not overflow.
Maintenance
Curved glass is cleaned as easily as flat glass with a squeegee. Checking the sliding door rollers once a year and removing them for cleaning if needed keeps the doors running lightly. Magnetic door seals are easily renewed if they wear over time.
